Liberty Park

One of six water front parks within the city limits, Liberty Park is located on Lake Henderson and is within walking distance from downtown. Completed in 2002, this park has something for everyone to enjoy.

Walk the park or add cycling, strolling or roller skating the Withlacoochee State Trail. If you take the trail, you can enjoy the facilities at Wallace Brooks Park as well.

Aside from numerous community events held here each year, Liberty Park often features weddings, family reunions and birthday parties. Pavilions may be reserved; otherwise facilities are available free of charge on a "first come/first serve" basis. Electric is also available at a nominal charge. The reservation form gives you information of all the facilities that can be reserved, as well as whom to contact to make sure it's available on the date of your event.

Rental fees for the Gazebo: 50 or less in attendance   Fee:  $100 (City Resident)   $175 (Non-City Resident) 
                                               51 or more in attendance  Fee: $150 (City Resident)   $250 (Non-City Resident)

Rental fees for Pavilions:  Pavilion 1 (near water)       Fee:  $40 (City Resident)   $70 (Non-City Resident) 
                                             Pavilion 2 (near vball)        Fee:  $40 (City Resident)   $70 (Non-City Resident)

Time Slots for both Pavilions:   9 am - 1:00 pm   or  1:30 - 5:30 pm

 The park is also host to two popular City-sponsored Signature Events; Patriotic Evening on July 3rd and the Great American Cooter Festival, the last full weekend of October.
