Bicyclists The Administration program manages all functions of the Department and assures that activities are meeting community needs in an effective and efficient manner.

The Development/Redevelopment program is the revenue generating unit within the Department, which is responsible for economic development initiatives, grant programs and redevelopment efforts. Economic development includes annexation of property, special projects, grants and incentives that will improve the economic vitality of Inverness. The Redevelopment program includes all aspects of managing the City's revitalization efforts in the historic downtown district.

Recent Highlights
  • Final engineering design plans were completed for constrcution of North Apopka Streetscape (Bicycle Boulevard). This project will finish the connection between downtown and the Withlacoochee State Trail. Estimated Construction Cost - $360,000
  • Final restoration of the Valerie Theatre has been completed. The plan is to operate the 3,500 sq. foot theatre as a multi-purpose community center.
