Emergency Information

Though the sunny blue skies and warm breezes of Florida gives a feeling of paradise, emergencies may arise for which you should be informed and prepared.

City Water or Sewer Problem: If you notice a water or sewer line break during regular business hours or it is a non-emergency, dial 352-726-2321. Emergencies after business hours or on weekends and holidays, dial 352-601-0888.

City Road or Tree Problem: If you observe unsafe conditions, please dial 352-726-2321 during regular business hours. If an emergency and the office is closed, dial 352-422-1422.

In emergencies extending outside the city limits, the City works with the Sheriff's Office and other government resources when a threat is approaching or an emergency exists. The Emergency Management Plan provides details of the actions to be taken in handling different types of emergencies, as well as responsibilities.
Tropical Storm/Hurricane Information
While we will attempt to keep the City website up-to-date, unknowns such as power outages and other resource issues, can become an issue. Therefore, information regarding local operations and services (ie., sandbags, evacuation, road closures) during an emergency is best obtained by viewing the Sheriff's Office Emergency Operations Center. If you prefer to contact the Emergency Operation Center by phone, residents can dial 746-5470 or 527-2106.
