It’s a shell of a good time at this year’s Cooter Festival. Bringing smiles to festivalgoers for 18 years, this event is held at Inverness’ lakefront Depot District, and will feature live music, Cooterween Costume Contest, food trucks, local vendors and kids activities. Don’t miss the exciting cooter races and make sure to get your selfie with our mascot, Sunny Cooter.
Live music on Saturday includes two up-and-coming regional country acts: Hayfire Band and the Randall Crawford Band. Sunday features the popular Cooterween Costume Contest for all ages and pets. The festival is free and open to the public.
New this year, check out the Friday Night Cooter Kick-off with Moonflower band, a Santana tribute band on the Courthouse Square. This free street concert will include specials and promotions throughout the downtown the night of October 29, 2021.
The Valerie Theatre welcome the Cooter Comedy Night on Friday, October 22, 2021. The comedy show is hosted by local comedian Richard Spires and features Paul Jensen, JJ Curry and Carmen Vallone. Comedy show tickets are on sale now for $15 at https://fb.me/e/4JzjRrtJL.
