Hurricane Ian Yard Waste Updates
Post storm assessments have indicated that the City of Inverness was spared from the devastation seen in other parts of South and Central Florida. In an effort to conserve resources for those in greater need, the City has elected to not engage with a third-party hurricane debris contractor for post storm waste cleanup. Post storm debris will be handled under our standard waste services. Due to increased amounts of yard waste there may be delays in service or partial collections. Residents not serviced this week will be serviced on the next regularly scheduled collection date. Loose debris shall be bagged or containerized to facilitate pickup, and we ask residents to follow the existing guidelines regarding woody debris piles which shall be limited to 2 cubic yards maximum.
