Burn Ban Logo

Due to the extreme dry conditions the City has adopted a Resolution for an Emergency Burn Ban.

The burn ban means all outside burning, including yard waste and debris, is not allowed until further notice. This part of Florida receives the least amount of rain from winter through spring. The summer rainy season usually begins around the end of May or first weeks of June, and the fire danger typically increases as the dryness increases until those rains begin. The current unusually hot, dry weather is also a factor in instituting the burn ban.
