Proclamation for American Indian Heritage 2018

The City of Inverness Proclaim November as National Indian American Heritage Month.

The members of the Inverness City Council proclaim November as National Indian Heritage Month. We celebrate with Representatives of  the Fort Cooper Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. To honor, recognize and celebrate, Fort Cooper has planned several activities for all ages during the month of November starting Thursday, November 8th at 5:30 pm. View the dance of hundreds bats in the Cove of the Withlacoochee as they exit Fort Coopers State Park's Bat House at Sundown. Park in Lot #1 and meet in the Park's Pavilion. Park entrance is $3.00 per car. There will be other celebration dates so visit or call 352-726-0315 for further information.
