The Florida Department of Health Citrus County provided an update today at 2:48 p.m. on positive results for COVID-19:
The City is continuing to provide services such as water, sewer, public works projects, building permits, public safety, and City Administration. Inverness City Hall is open 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the lobby only. Please call the City at (352) 726-2611 to request city services and to interact with city government. Please avoid coming to City Hall whenever possible.
City of Inverness officials continue to work closely with the Florida Department of Health (health department) and local emergency management officials to help residents, visitors and employees weather this health crisis. We urge everyone to be diligent and practice safe hygiene. The City of Inverness has reviewed the latest recommendations regarding COVID-19 and has decided to continue closures and event postponements through the end of May 2020. When possible, events will be rescheduled. Please see the list below for details.
All parks and amenities remain closed. This includes playgrounds, volleyball, basketball, tennis, pickleball and shuffleboard courts, disc golf, athletic fields, picnic pavilions and public restrooms.
Note: The Withlacoochee State Trail is a state park and is closed until further notice (see Florida State Parks for updates)
