Inverness, FLA –The next meeting of the Inverness City Council is slated for Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. at the Inverness Government Center, 212 W. Main Street, Inverness. With the latest recommendations for slowing the spread of COVID-19, the City is planning to hold a virtual meeting. Interested attendees can locate the link to the video on city’s website inverness-fl.gov.
Inverness City Hall is closed to general public access. Please call (352) 726-2611 for an appointment with department staff or to discuss city services. The City will continue to provide services such as trash pick-up, water, sewer, public works projects, building permits, public safety, and City Administration. Utility payments may be made at Inverness-FL.gov and at the drop box in front of City Hall.
Governor Ron DeSantis issued a recommendation for all school districts in Florida to remain closed for the remainder of the school year. Citrus County Schools will continue their Citrus C.A.R.E.S. Remote Learning Plan. Please continue to follow the Citrus County district website, https://www.citrusschools.org/home, as well as your child’s school website for additional information. Superintendent Himmel has stressed the safety of students and staff will remain their top priority.
