Is there a code requirement to address overgrown grass or unkempt property?
Yes. The City Code declares excessive accumulations of weeds and plant life a nuisance. Grass and weeds should not be above thirty-six (36) inches high when located on property within fifty (50) feet of any improved building. In addition, mowing the street right-of-way adjoining your property is also the property owner's responsibility.
