Water Quality Report

According to Federal and State regulations, the City of Inverness regularly monitors drinking water. Our goal is, and always has been, to provide a safe and dependable supply of drinking water.

Our water source is groundwater which is obtained from the Florida Aquifer and is aerated and disinfected with chlorine and ammonia. It is fed a polyphosphate for iron and corrosion control, and finally fluoride is added for dental health.

A Water Quality Report is issued annually. You can find the most recent copy of the report here. If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call the Public Works Department at (352) 726-2321.
